What is the MSP 501?
The MSP 501 is now in its 19th year as the technology channel's first, largest and most comprehensive ranking of managed service providers around the globe.
What started as a simple list has evolved into a data-rich annual report that provides deep insight into how the top MSPs are growing, what challenges they face, and what’s driving success across the industry.
Winners gain international recognition and are celebrated across the Channel Events platforms — culminating in an unforgettable Awards Gala during the MSP Summit.

That’s where our MSPs to Watch list comes in. This distinction recognizes smaller MSPs that didn’t meet our revenue cutoff but are on a fast track to future success. These companies:

- Show high recurring revenue percentages
- Have strong growth projections and performance

Winners will be announced in June 2026 during our reveal webcast. Special award winners will be announced at our annual MSP 501 Awards Gala, celebrating all 2026 MSP 501 winners, at MSP Summit, September 28-30, 2026 in Orlando.

What are MSPs to Watch?
In the past we found many impressive smaller managed service providers that failed to meet our revenue cutoff to qualify but nevertheless showed great potential and growth. Therefore, we've created an MSPs to Watch list for those we think have a great shot at cracking the MSP 501 in the future. These companies gain most of their revenue from managed services, are high performers in terms of percentage of revenue from recurring revenue, and boast impressive growth forecasts.
How do you evaluate applications to arrive at the rankings?
We use a proprietary algorithm that weighs different revenue streams according to how representative they are of modern business models and forward-thinking managed services strategies.
What will winners receive in their award packages?
MSPs that earn a place on the MSP 501 or MSPs to watch list will receive a winner's media kit via email that includes a winner’s logo, a press release template to announce the win, social graphics, complimentary VIP premium passes to attend to MSP Summit, thought-leadership opportunities, and a Q&A form that winners can return to the MSP 501 editorial team that may be used as the basis for a company profile.
