(This is part of a series of stories highlighting 2026 MSP 501 companies).
Anoush d’Orville started Advisory Solutions – his third MSP – only because he failed to land his dream job.
“Advisory is the first MSP I built without a business partner,” he said. “Honestly, I was not excited about starting another one. I craved a role as a CTO or director of IT inside a larger organization. But as fate would have it, serial entrepreneurs who have held only one formal job -- in my case, at Apple while in college -- are not the most attractive candidates. With few real options, I decided to dive back in.”
He started Advisory in New York 10 years ago, with an eye toward serving Apple customers. He built the firm into the No. 219 spot on the 2026 MSP 501 through a platform-agnostic approach.
D’Orville describes Advisory as a Mac-first, Windows-native MSP. It targets Apple-centric organizations that also run Windows.
“The market was missing professional, Apple-first MSPs,” he said. “Large, Windows-focused firms are plentiful, but Macs are typically an afterthought. I strongly believe in being platform-agnostic, and ‘Apple as a choice’ became central to the Advisory vision.”
D’Orville said another differentiator for Advisory is “a sustained drive to innovate through tooling, automation, and now AI. The more we meet clients where they are and equip them with fast, efficient ways to solve problems, the better the outcome for everyone. We have deliberately shifted away from password resets and Tier 1 noise toward building systems that deliver in-depth reporting, analysis, and road mapping. What used to take weeks now takes hours.”
Advisory is SOC 2 Type II certified and builds platform-driven services rather than headcount-driven ones. That discipline lets clients mature into enterprise-grade security and controls well before they have enterprise-grade headcount. The idea is to harden identity, devices, and data well ahead of the customer questionnaire, investor diligence process, or audit that would force the issue.
Its proprietary asset management platform, Wizard, centralizes the SaaS, mobile device management, and identity systems clients already run, then correlates that data into a single view. The same discipline carries through Advisory's security practice, which spans implementation to governance. That work includes identity and endpoint controls, data protection and DLP, and an AI Transformation practice to help clients adopt AI responsibly.

Internally, Advisory has a Tier 1 AI service desk agent known as Oz. D’Orville said he wants to automate at least 10% of all Tier 1 tickets by end of 2026.
“The integration between Wizard and our AI service desk agent for Tier 1 issues is a major milestone in the modernization roadmap we set at the start of the year,” d’Orville said.
“The competitive advantage over the next three years will belong to MSPs with exceptionally organized, well-categorized ticket data, so that automations and AI agents can surface the best context and resolutions for clients,” he added. “We have been building toward this for years.”
D’Orville said successful MSPs must continually adapt as the IT landscape constantly changes around AI and other technologies.
“The MSP model, as most of the industry knows it today, is on a path toward irrelevance, and most operators have not fully reckoned with that reality yet,” d’Orville said. “This makes our investment in systems-building all the more critical.”
