In this Channel Partners TV interview, Coro Cybersecurity CEO Joe Sykora discusses key challenges and pressures MSPs face when trying to deliver effective security for their customers, and how Coro uses AI to help.
“The attack surface is expanding,” Sykora said. “That translates to, there's more activities. We're seeing millions of new attacks compared to last year. So for our MSP partners, that's just more work that they have to do.”
AI, which attackers are using to create more effective breaches, also can help MSPs and their customers. It’s practically a requirement now, Sykora said. He said it also helps if MSPs have a cybersecurity tool stack that is easy to manage.
Coro bills itself as cybersecurity for organizations with limited IT resources, and the MSPs who support them. Its security platform includes AI-driven insights to analyze and identify threats, an AI copilot for users to interact with security tools and Model Context Protocol (MCP) integration. MCP capabilities allow Coro users to access, analyze, and take action on security data directly from ChatGPT, Claude, and other AI tools.

“If [MSPs] don't have automation and consolidation, as far as getting all their data into one stack, it's very difficult to use AI to help correlate and remediate. I'm talking to a lot of partners with too many tools, and they're looking to simplify,” Sykora said. “But the big thing is, the days of having an enterprise stack that's very complicated to run are changing. I'm an MSP and I'm looking to operationalize my business, it’s more relevant than ever to be able to do more with less. I don't think I have to mention the whole world of AI.”
No, but you can’t not mention AI these days either.
“We've always used AI to do the correlation and remediation automatically,” Sykora said. “That's been part of Coro for all 11 years, back when we were calling it machine learning. But we’ve introduced Coro AI in the product itself to help them do correlation across customers and actually interface with it. It'll be our first step to take the user interface to where you no longer have to operate within it. You can move it to whatever, however you want to communicate with us.”
