DattoCon 2025: AI and Security News from Kaseya

Kaseya unveiled advancements in its backup offerings at DattoCon, including the Datto SIRIS 6, Datto Backup for Microsoft Entra ID, and a preview of its Cyber Resiliency Platform. Kaseya also acquired Inky, which incorporates generative AI and behavior analysis into email protection. Barracuda’s new Barracuda Financial Services powered by Capchase gives customers flexible payment options while ensuring resellers and distributors get paid upfront, helping improve cash flow, speed up deal cycles, and cut down on administrative work across the channel. Canalys: Channel Must Embrace AI

How AMD Came From Behind to Mount a Challenge in the AI Chip Wars

The Wall Street Journal looks at how AMD’s pivot from mainly producing graphics cards for gaming and personal-computer processors to more tightly focusing on the data-center chips that power AI helped it become a $330 billion company. ChatGPT creator OpenAI has agreed to buy tens of thousands of AMD chips to power 6 gigawatts of computing capacity for inference functions, which allow AI models to respond to user queries. TD SYNNEX, Nebius Bring AI Cloud to IT Ecosystem

TD SYNNEX launched an AI Infrastructure-as-a-Service (AI IaaS) offering in North America, helping its partners deliver advanced, secure, and cost-optimized AI without requiring hardware investment. The distributor’s AI Iaas provides direct access to NVIDIA GPUs on AI cloud service provider Nebius’ infrastructure. The service will have flat-rate pricing and scale-up and scale-out compute fabric performance through NVIDIA Quantum-X800 InfiniBand and NVIDIA NVLink for large-scale training and inference.
