Pax8 Becomes Microsoft Marketplace Launch Partner, Unveils AI Labs for Channel

Pax8 is making its AI applications and agents available on the new Microsoft Marketplace, and launching a research and development lab to help MSPs sell and deploy agentic AI.

Pax8 is among five Microsoft Marketplace global launch partners as Microsoft combines Azure Marketplace and AppSource into one marketplace. The Pax8 Marketplace now allows Pax8 partners to access, resell and deliver AI applications and agents on the Microsoft Marketplace. These partners can bundle third-party Marketplace applications with their own services, software and hardware. Pax8 will make the announcements this week at Microsoft Ignite.

“By embedding Microsoft’s Marketplace into our own, we’re giving partners a powerful new way to scale their offerings and reach new customers faster while supporting a key initiative of Microsoft,” said Oguo Atuanya, Corporate VP of vendor experience at Pax8.

Atuanya said Pax8’s ability to reach SMBs through MSPs was a major reason Microsoft chose it as an early Marketplace partner.

“Microsoft's making a big push into SMB in the agentic era,” he said. “If you think about our relationships with the MSPs, if you look at the solutions that are being built today or produced today, and the way you're going to have to sell them, it goes beyond just a transactional approach to selling. You really have to service them too. So the relationship we have with MSPs, and the knowledge we have of SMBs, was a key factor for them making that choice.

“What we're trying to do is push this transformation in the SMB space towards the agentic end of the spectrum. We will help transform the MSPs into MIPs, managed intelligence providers.”

Pax8 Labs Drives Agentic AI Deployments

Pax8 Labs is dedicated to helping SMBs take advantage of agentic AI through MSPs.

The labs will conduct research and development to help MSPs deploy AI agents across multiple clients. Research areas include:

  • Multi-tenant orchestration to securely run agents and workflows across the channel.
  • Agent coordination to prevent conflicts when multiple agents operate on shared data.
  • Dynamic integration learning to enable LLMs to interact with arbitrary APIs without pre-built connectors.
  • Automatic cost attribution through tracking token consumption and API costs per client for accurate billing.
  • Predictive budgeting to forecast costs before execution so MSPs can price services confidently.

One of the goals of Pax8 Labs is to bring enterprise-grade AI capabilities such as the Microsoft Agent Framework to channel partners and drive intelligence into the SMB market. Pax8 Labs is part of the vendor’s initiative to help MSPs become managed intelligence providers.

“Our team is building the infrastructure that makes this evolution possible—enabling MSPs to deploy AI agents across hundreds of clients with predictable economics and measurable outcomes,” Pax8 Labs SVP Josh Dulberger said.
