MSP 501 Preview: MSP Madness in Full Swing

College basketball's March Madness has nothing on the rollout of the MSP 501 that begins this week. On June 23, the combined forces of Channel Futures and The MSP Summit websites began the rollout of the most anticipated event in the managed services industry—the debut of the MSP 501. Let's call this MSPs' month of magnificence which spans Magnificent Monday through Phenomenal Friday. Each day of the week we disclose those who have made the list, starting with 401 to 501 on Monday. We will reveal the top 10 in a special webinar broadcast on Thursday. On Friday, the final 100 will post on Channel Futures and you can see all 501.

During the week, managed service providers, channel leaders from all of today's top technology suppliers, and everyone in the channel partner ecosystem will scour our websites, news stories and analysis of the MSP 501 who define channel greatness. Our website traffic soars, social media postings on LinkedIn skyrocket with announcements, and press releases fly out of inboxes faster than Amazon packages coming out of warehouses. The list also ignites debates around the industry as to what makes a great MSP, why one company ranked in the MSP 501 top 100 or why certain companies made or did not make the list. It is an amazing kickoff to discussions that will last until we publish next year's list. It is all because everyone wants to know who today's top managed service providers are and why they are the best of the best.

On Monday, readers of Channel Futures discovered the first wave of MSP 501 companies in a gallery featuring stories, photos and company logos. That wave of content will culminate at the MSP Summit, taking place Sept. 15-17 in Orlando, Fl. At that conference attendees will hear from the MSP 501 and managed services leaders in keynotes and breakouts along with a gala event where the MSP 501 will be feted including the year’s MSP 501 Special Awards. This prestigious event will showcase the technology channel's first, largest, and most comprehensive ranking of managed service providers from around the globe, now in its 18th year. The ranking is based on a proprietary methodology based on business performance metrics.

So, here is what you need to know about next week's MSP festivities:

  • Check out the Channel Futures website to find the first wave of galleries and stories on the 2025 MSP 501. Readers will be able to view company information such as top leaders of the MSP 501, company logos, the industries they focus on and what size customers they target.
  • In addition to what is on Channel Futures, The MSP Summit website, operated by the events team at Channel Partners Conference & Expo and MSP Summit, will also publish this year's list of the MSP 501 along with additional content and analysis of this year's list. You will be able to download the entire list from the MSP Summit web site.
