CPTV: How Foxit can Help MSPs Simplify PDF Management (video)

We recently spoke with Kai Wille, director of strategic alliances for PDF software vendor Foxit, about how Foxit can help MSPs simplify PDF management while lowering costs.

Wille said MSPs come to Foxit because it is easier to purchase and renew licenses, costs less than PDF software alternatives and is easier to administer.

“Foxit’s whole approach is different in that you get an admin console that has single sign on support by default no matter which product you buy,” he said. “And that's what MSPs love, especially the SSO support with it. And that license administration is super simple and not painful. On top of that, we've mimicked the product itself to look exactly like the Microsoft Office Suite.”

Foxit provides a single platform for digital document management, including PDF editing, legally binding eSignature and artificial intelligence (AI) management capabilities. Foxit AI allows users to quickly summarize documents for vital data, and rewrite, edit and translate them.

Wille added that Foxit delivers larger margins for MSPs than its PDF competitors, and it also enables profitable professional services in addition to licensing revenue.

“The big question is, can you actually make money selling Foxit technology? And the answer is yes,” he said. “This is a great opportunity to redirect some of that money that's going straight to those [other PDF software] vendors over to the MSP at a nice margin. And once you really peel back the onion a little bit, there's actually a wonderful professional services opportunity to now integrate that PDF editor with the content management system the customer is using to rebrand the whole experience. The partners that embrace that are making 10x in professional services revenue on top of the licensed revenue they make when they sell Foxit products.”
